Supported Amazon marketplaces

Add marketplace=DE to any endpoint. Every field — price, currency, delivery promise, availability — resolves against that storefront.

Comparing the same product across storefronts

cross_market.py
ZIPS = {"US": "10001", "UK": "SW1A 1AA", "DE": "10115", "JP": "100-0001"}

for market, postcode in ZIPS.items():
    data = fetch("/products/details", {
        "asin": "B07CMS5Q6P",
        "marketplace": market,
        "zip": postcode,
    })
    price = data["price"]
    print(market, price["amount"], price["currency"])

Things that trip people up

ASINs are not universal

The same physical product usually has a different ASIN in each marketplace. Do not assume a US ASIN resolves on amazon.de — it often does, but not reliably. Use /utility/asin-to-gtin then /utility/gtin-to-asin against the target marketplace to map properly.

Prices come back in local currency

price.currency tells you which. There is no conversion — apply your own FX rates so you control the rate and the timestamp.

Postcode formats differ

UK postcodes contain a space, Canadian ones are alphanumeric, Japanese ones are hyphenated. Send the local format for the marketplace you are querying; a US-shaped zip against amazon.co.jp is quietly ignored and you lose price accuracy.

Categories are per-marketplace

Browse-node ids and best-seller slugs are not shared across storefronts. Call /utility/categories?marketplace=DE to get the taxonomy for the one you are targeting.

Coverage varies

Smaller storefronts have thinner catalogues and fewer reviews. Endpoints still work, but expect more empty arrays and fewer offers on marketplaces like SE, PL and AE than on US or DE.

An unrecognised marketplace code returns 422 rather than falling back to US — so a typo surfaces as an error instead of silently poisoning your dataset.
